THE
ASSOCIATION
The Atlantic
Canada Arabian Horse Association was established in
1996 to encourage interest in the promotion, exhibition
and enjoyment of the Arabian and Half Arabian horse
in the Atlantic Provinces.
|
|

|
|
One goal of the ACAHA is to increase awareness about
the Arabian breed, which is often considered one
of the most beautiful, verstatile and intelligent
of all breeds. At the same time, the ACAHA
provides an opportunity for Arabian horse owners,
breeders and enthusiasts to come together and celebrate
the breed that has claimed their hearts. In fact,
you do not have to own or ride an Arabian to be
a member of the ACAHA; anyone that appreciates this
wonderful breed and wants to learn more is welcome
to join. The ACAHA is located in Region 18
(which encompasses Eastern Canada), is affiliated
with the Arabian Horse Association (AHA), and is
a member of the New Brunswick Equestrian Association.

Join
a network of friends
The opportunities for getting involved with the ACAHA
are endless. Members are encouraged to participate
in club activities and events, such as clinics, seminars,
youth programs, fundraisers and horse shows.
There is also an informative newsletter, The Atlantic
Arabian, which relies on contributions and feedback
from members. The newsletter, which is produced
bi-annually, ensures that members are kept up-to-date
about upcoming activities and allows people to share
their stories, accomplishments and expertise on a
variety of topics. The
ACAHA strives to create a supportive network that
allows the exchange of ideas and knowledge amongst
Arabian horse owners and enthusiasts. There
are meetings for general members and an annual gathering
to which all members are invited.

2007/2008
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The
Board of Directors is elected by the membership at
the Annual General Meeting and all positions are held
for 2 years. The last BOD election was in November
2006 and some positions were elected for 1 year only,
so in the future every year half of the board will
be up for election. The BOD is responsible for overseeing
all club-related business, activities and events.
This is a group of volunteers committed to improving
the ACAHA and ensuring its future success, while promoting
the Arabian horse throughout the Atlantic Provinces. |
